I am pleased to announce that the Civic Theatre Drama Queens have raised the most money out of all of the Relay for Life Vancouver Teams!

Team Leader, Kristin Rosinski has said, “After raising approx $4050 at our Salon Soiree, plus the $3007 we have donated on our site, we are in first place for Relay this year.”  She optimistically adds, “but [we're] only $443 away from ‘silver’ status.  Last chance to make a donation, relay is in 2 days! Come out and support!!”

Last night’s Salon Soiree was a fantastic success!  Our silent auction brought in $1642 and overall, the generosity of those present helped us over $3500.

Thank you to everyone who bid on our silent auction, bought balloons to pop and especially to the many performers who donated their time to us.  It was a beautiful event, and all of us Drama Queens are truly grateful.

We are still being honored with donations for our silent auction, including a Sterling Silver Citrine Ring and a Sterling Silver Pendant with Sapphire.  More silent auction items – including jewelry and art – that you have not seen online will be up for bid tonight.

You’ll also have a chance to win the grand prize in our Balloon Bust, including a collection of gift certificates from i-Tunes, the Cactus Club, and much more.  Purchase a balloon for $2, and give it a pop to see if you’ve won!

The event begins at 7pm, and doors will be open at 6:30 pm.

Don’t forget that the silent auction will be taken offline at 12 noon today, and will continue for a final 3 hours at the Salon Soiree.  Come and bid on some amazing donations.

Last 24 hours to bid online!

The final 24 hours of our Online Silent Auction benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life are upon us!  Thank you so much for already making our efforts a success.

Your bids have already brought our team $474 closer to our $10,000 goal!  We cannot thank you enough.

When bidding, please remember to respect the minimum bids listed.  If the minimum bid listed is $10, and the last bid was $60, the minimum amount that you can bid is $70.

To ensure that you are the successful bidder for your favourite items, please come to the Salon Soiree!

Tomorrow, Sunday May 29th, our online auction will end.  All silent auctions will be brought to the Salon Soiree, being held at 7pm at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Salons, and the auction will resume until 10pm.  At 10:30 pm, successful bidders who are present at the event will be awarded their items.  Those who are not present will be notified by Monday May 31st at 10am.

Our team has been honored to accept a number of new donations for our silent auction this past week.  There will be a number of silent auction items at the Salon Soiree that have not been posted online.  Send an email to CivicTheatreDramaQueens@gmail.com to reserve your ticket for Sunday Night.

Last 7 Days to Bid on Our Silent Auction!

For all of you who have placed bids on our Silent Auction items online, thank you very kindly!

V5Y, Crimson Cool, and the Shoppers Beauty Boutique Basket have been the most popular items this week.  One of our most viewed items is the Introductory Flight Lesson, donated by the Pacific Flying Club, but no bids have been posted yet.  Another amazing opportunity to take advantage of is the pair of tickets to use the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges in Canadian and select European airports.

Just today, a 1 hour massage package was posted.  In addition to a massage, the package also includes four flower-shaped bath bombs, a clear plastic back massager and a vanilla Escents massage bar.  This package was generously donated by Cathy Charbonneau at Pacific Chiropractic and Massage Therapy in Yaletown.

You have just seven days left to place a bid on the items in our silent auction.  At 12:00 noon on Sunday May 30th, all online bidding will be closed. The auction will resume for a final three hours at the Salon Soiree being held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Salons.  To ensure that you are the successful bidder for the items of your choice, make sure you purchase your tickets for the Soiree by emailing us at CivicTheatreDramaQueens@gmail.com  Tickets are $10.

You’ve found us!  Welcome to Relay for Life page of the Civic Theatre Drama Queens.

Our Relay for Life team has been putting together a number of fundraisers over the last six weeks for the purpose of raising money for cancer research.

So far, we`ve held two bottle drives and a bbq.  We`ve raised $1519.87.  Help us reach our goal of raising $10,000.  Give a monetary donation online, attend an event, or donate something for our silent auction.  Every little bit helps.
